Garlic Lime Marinated Skirt Steak

Featuring Credence Farms Grass-Fed Skirt Steak

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Credence Farms grass-fed skirt steak
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional for heat)
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Steak:

    • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and chili powder.
    • Place the skirt steak in a shallow dish or ziplock bag, pour the marinade over it, and coat evenly.
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 8 hours for deeper flavor).
  2. Cook the Steak:

    • Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
    • Heat a grill or cast-iron skillet over high heat.
    • Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or adjust for desired doneness.
  3. Rest & Slice:

    • Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain into thin strips.
  4. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Sprinkle with fresh cilantro or parsley.
    • Serve with grilled veggies, over a salad, or in tacos for a nutrient-dense, flavorful meal.
