Grill Master Steak & Smash Burger Night

A Father’s Day grill night that uses the best of the box: Ribeyes or NY Strips for the main event and Ground Beef for smash burgers the whole family can enjoy.

Ingredients

2 Credence Farms Ribeyes or NY Strips
1 lb Credence Farms Ground Beef
Sea salt
Cracked black pepper
1 tbsp avocado oil or beef tallow
4 burger buns
4 slices cheddar or American cheese
1 onion, thinly sliced
Pickles
Butter or beef tallow for the griddle

Garlic Herb Butter:
4 tbsp softened butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
Pinch of sea salt

Steps

1. Remove steaks from the refrigerator 30–45 minutes before cooking. Pat dry and season generously with sea salt and cracked black pepper.

2. Mix softened butter with garlic, parsley, rosemary, and a pinch of sea salt. Set aside.

3. Preheat grill to high heat, around 450–500°F.

4. Grill steaks for 4–5 minutes per side for medium rare, depending on thickness. Rest for 8–10 minutes before slicing.

5. While steaks rest, divide 1 lb Ground Beef into 4 loose balls.

6. Heat a cast iron pan or griddle over medium-high heat with a little beef tallow or butter.

7. Place beef balls on the hot surface and smash thin. Season with salt and pepper.

8. Cook 2–3 minutes, flip, add cheese, and cook another 1–2 minutes.

9. Toast buns, add pickles and onions, then build the burgers.

10. Serve sliced steak with garlic herb butter alongside smash burgers for a full Father’s Day grill meal.
